I picked a batch of blackcurrants the other day and made into a crumble when we went for tea with some neighbours 🙂

That's all I've harvested though. The caterpillars have had my cabbages, of course, but the chard seems to be fine, touch wood. That might be my only crop, aside from sage, endless sage, not that I'm harvesting any of it!

I think there are still some gooseberries - might get my mum to help harvest some of those tomorrow and maybe see about making some jam.

In the meantime, I am now off work for a month, so trying to chip away at the overwhelming state of literally everything.

Did one row of scything this morning in the field (which took nearly 2 hours) and now in the middle of strimming the drive - didnt do it last year (or the scything) so it's quite wayward! Getting there, just stopped to refuel the strimmer (and myself 😂)

Probably not very illustrative, you cant even see most of the drive, which goes all the way down to the trees, plus the same distance in the other direction. I'm about half way up the first side 😬
