Fridge Freezer - freezer ok, fridge not

Hi,
Wondering if someone can help me troubleshoot this please?
Our fridge freezer (which was gifted to us by the seller of the house when we purchased it, almost 18 months ago) has a problem; the freezer is fine but the fridge is not cold anymore!
I found a manual online here:
https://whirlpool-cdn.thron.com/static/LXG3NG_400011319622EN_KNBFNX.pdf?xseo=&response-content-disposition=inline;filename="400011319622EN.pdf"
The trouble shooting section is not helpful!
The only thing I can see that might help is the part about regularly cleaning the inside of the draining hole at the back of the fridge "...using the tool provided" which we don't have. The fridge temperature shown on the display is what it's set to but clearly isn't the actual temperature.
Any ideas? Thinking we'll need a replacement :-(

Same thing happened to my Hotpoint and it was dead basically. Replaced it rather than repaired it.1

You can normally clear the drainage hole with anything thin and long. Usually the inside of a ball point pen does the job.KittenChops said:Hi,

However this is unlikely to be why the fridge is not working properly. The usual result of a blocked drainage hole is a puddle in the bottom of the fridge, which drips out onto the floor.1 -
I've just taken the drawers out to try it - but it doesn't look like the manual picture - there is no V shaped channelAlbermarle said:

Ditto. But it was 30 years old so I reckon we had our monies worth!housebuyer143 said:Same thing happened to my Hotpoint and it was dead basically. Replaced it rather than repaired it.1 -
The fridge likely has a separate thermostat which has stopped working had a fridge freezer the fridge stopped working roughly 20 years ago end only recently the freezer packed inKittenChops said:

Looking at the back wall it could be the old sort of frost free model that when the air channel in that back wall freezes up the fridge no longer gets cold. Exacerbated by running it in a humid room or leaving the door open by accident. If it is defrosting the freezer would make the fridge run for a while again.
Cool air should be coming out of the slots at the back in the fridge. if it's not then being frozen up is one possible cause1 -
Our kitchen window faces south - on most hot, sunny days I pull the blind down so I can see what I'm doing - so it does get quite warm in there sometimes so could have been that I guess... No cool air coming out anywhere in the fridge...Lorian said:Looking at the back wall it could be the old sort of frost free model that when the air channel in that back wall freezes up the fridge no longer gets cold. Freezer still working ok, luckily we'd been away for the weekend and I'd not got round to doing a big shop, so not much in the fridge - and my lovely neighbour has offered us some freezer space as a new fridge freezer is being delivered tomorrow - just had to go for it, no idea how old the current one is - not worthwhile paying someone to come out & investigate when it's likely to an expensive fix or irreparable - but at least we got a free fridge freezer for almost 18 months (and the ancient double oven lasted nearly 13 months, luckily broke on Boxing Day instead of a day earlier - I have definitely got my 'glass half full' hat on today!)
Thanks to everyone that tried to help me
