RCI bank application

tried to apply for the 2year fixed account, spent 10 minutes filling in application. then asked to send by post, driving license, or passport plus other docs. NOT copies. No way im sending that stuff by post, they can get stuffed. Ive got over twenty other accounts and never been asked to send stuff let alone original documents.

Certainly didn't happen to me when I opened accounts with them.

Try again? Perhaps there was a hitch when it tried to verify you electronically? it does happen.

I emailed my frustrations to them, they said they would accept photographs of the docs. Not going to bother, there rates have dropped anyway.

tried to open one with vanquis this morning and similar thing, they couldn't verify my bank account. I phoned them up as i already have a credit card with them so they should have all my details. No go, they said id have to send in documents.  Just for the hell of it i tried again about an hour later and it all went through ok, account opened. I will give it a few days before i fund it just to make sure they dont message me back or so.    I wonder if their computers just randomly decide to set obstacles for some people every now and then.
