    It's easy to pause contributions, much harder (psychologically) to restart them...!

    If you want to keep your SIPP active, I was told by AJ Bell that you can reduce your monthly contributions to the minimum £25 per month required, so a pause in a way keeping everything active, then just increase contributions or make a one-off payment later if you want to. I did this for a period last year and keeps you in control.
