Autumn fruiting raspberries - no sign of growth?

We have a quarter plot. Amongst other vegetables we have two varieties of Autumn fruiting raspberries (Autumn Gold and a red variety). They have been in position for the last 4-5 years. Last year we had a good crop of both. We pruned the plants in early spring this year right back to the ground. To date (27/5/2024) we have seen no shoots or signs of growth. As you know it has been a wet winter. We are concerned they may have died. Has anyone else experienced similar?

I don't go all the way down to the ground with all of mine (Joan J). They are going away great guns. Flowers and small fruit already on the ones cut to about 9 inches, which should give some early fruit, and the others cut much lower are growing away well to give Autumn fruit.

That does not sound good. We always pruned the old stems that had fruited right back to ground level in February and they came again. Was a very light well drained soil though, maybe all the rain has been to much for them0

Thanks for the replies... think it must be the wet ground (lots of wet weather late winter, early spring)? Will look to dig up and put in raised beds for other fruit/veg.0
