I got handed a bag of offcuts of constructional timber to use on my fire a few years back. Darned stuff was difficult to light and just did not burn that well. Quickly realised that it had been treated with fire retardants, and shouldn't be burnt (binned the rest of the offcuts).BarelySentientAI said: The general public thinks timber is bad for fire.
