in Credit cards
i am due a refund on my car insurance to be paid onto my mint card in the next 10 days and a refund from amazon for a faulty item onto my mbna card within the next 20 days, neither cards have a balence on them, but i understand that some cards cannot have a positive balence on them for even a short period of time,
does that mean that i need to make sure i use both of the cards before the refund? or do they usually allow for refunds to take into a positive balence temporarily?? neither are huge amounts (£45 and £28)
i asked the companies if they could pay onto another card or send a cheque, but was advised they need to pay back to the account i paid for them with

I don't think either will refuse your small transactions.
The easiest way to get your money back would be to spend on the card for items/services that you would be buying anyway.0 -
I have rung cc companies when i have had a positive balance and they will either transfer it to your current account - if you are lucky, or put it on another credit card ie one you owe money to.
I had a bad habit of overpaying my bills or paying the wrong amount to the wrong card so I had phone a few times to fix things.
hope this helps
