I used saynoto0870.com earlier this afternoon and my anti-virus went nuts straight away, it said that it had downloaded "Trojan horse Dropper.Generic.TBP" or "Trojan.Win32.Agent.rw" (It did this twice, I checked in two different browsers.)
I don't know how to let them know that something is up - I don't want to revisit the site too often for obvious reasons, but when I looked earlier their forum was down.
Quite scary - I'm up to date with all the security patches and stuff, so it's worrying that this could get through at all.0 -
Working fine here.
No security warnings triggered.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
I uploaded the file to 'Virus Total' (which scans the file with about 30 different anti-virus engines) and only 9 of them picked up on it at all.
I do hope it's OK now, but I'm still really spooked that the site was able to get the virus onto my hard drive in the first place. That shouldn't be possible.
This was just before 3pm though - maybe it's been cleaned up since then.0 -
Hi
I also went to saynoto0870.com/index on Friday and my IE went mad. My IE windows just ground to a halt. Initially I thought it was because I had so many windows open looking for a new mobile phone contract so I closed the group.
Left my pc and came back to find an AV message that a Trojan Horse had been quarantined at 1347hrs . Did give me a bit of a scare that a reputable website had been hacked and a virus introduced to trap users.
I am not a techie but always have my AV up to date...........thank goodness!
Message to the people who run the saynoto0870 site - it is brilliant! Thanks.0 -
No messages from Martin or the team about this.Kind Regards

It could have just been a false positive. I've seen it happen a couple of times with completely safe sites. The AV companies just need to be informed that there's a false positive. Let them see if it is and update the definitions accordingly if they need to be. I've not seen any problem with that site at all (I'm using Eset's smart security)."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
