I am disabled (and also work full-time, and I am not too tired to live) so deliveries are easiest for me. I find that what I get delivered is fresher than the supermarket because it comes from the warehouse directly and not via the supermarket where it could stay on the back or on the shelves for days.
Where on earth do you live, and which supermarket delivery service?

All the main supermarkets near me around Bedford have 'pickers' for the online shopping deliveries (and/or click and collect service)... getting in the way of mere mortal shoppers like me.
Not specifying where I live but I use Ocado. They don't have "pickers" because they don't have "shelves". They have warehouses. And I cannot complain at all about the shelf life or freshness of any products that I buy. Around this area Morrisons also deliver from warehousing not stores (unless you order through Amazon, which I don't). I can't comment on other supermarkets as I haven't used them. I suspect click and collect may be more problemmatic because you are collecting from the store, so it is probably sensible to pick from the shelves. I gave up supermarket shopping yonks ago because it wasn't the pickers that were the problem (don't think there were many back then anyway) - it was the mere mortals who insisted on blocking the whole aisle to have a critical phone conversation with their gran/mum/brother about the show they saw on tv last night/ the price of sugar / which light bulb they needed, or those who thought the supermarket had opened a free play ground in the aisles....and thought nothing of the obstacle course they presented to the person with a disability who is actually trying to shop in a shop!

    Hi guys,

This is probably a silly daft question, but how else can i get my food shopping as i am sick to death of walking around supermarkets , its so time consuming and I've had enough as I've been doing it for twenty years and all supermarket deliveries are terrible (understatement), they pick your food where everything expires the next day and sometimes things appear to be tampered with, so how are the delivery departments still in business lol 🤷?

People don't have time to get fresh food every day because they are too tired from working, so they need food to last

Any ideas would be appreciated cheers 🙂
Lots of people do manage.  Is your work too tiring?

If I want fresh stuff from a supermarket I can be in and out in under ten minutes, so not time consuming for something I need.

Never had a supermarket delivery so cannot comment on the quality.

Yes but if you have to drive back and forth too the supermarket that could add another twenty minutes unless you're passing by it on the way home to work lol 🙂

Other possibilities were highlighted in previous posts.

Do you not walk past any food shops at all?

Walking to my local supermarket takes 5 minutes but I appreciate that will not be the case for many people.
Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid
