Tyne Tunnel

Hi All,

I made a return trip through the Tyne Tunnel on Thurs. I managed to totally forget about paying the toll until this afternoon (Sat) and know that you have until midnight the following day (Fri) to pay.

I paid the toll online and it seems to have been accepted. I received an e-mail to say all pre paid trips are now used up.

Wondering I may have been lucky and they only go by working days/ they don't kick off process for fines on weekends.

Apparently its £30 if paid in first 14 days, so not the end of the world, but annoying non the less.

Any thoughts?

For any future readers of this post, I called up the TT support line and it seems I managed to get the payment settled before their system issued the fine, so I’m told I’m ok.
