Yes they have it 

in that case there is no need for them to speak to grandad - for all they know he may be unable to speak and have no capacity at all - the OPG has given you the right (at his request) to handle all his financial affairs.

Thanks. They said I need to write a letter. The first person said there was no power of attorney even on the account. I don’t think they know what they are doing C

this is what you need to sort out with them - if they have no record of it then that needs rectifying 

The second agent said they had it. So I know they do. It’s just a mess.

that's very frustrating, perhaps first one didn't know what a POA was  - suggest putting in the complaint and perhaps see if they have a specific vulnerable customers team
