I wouldnt think the post office would let you tbh without the card, but the bank branch should.

Or, get a friend to pay it in at the Post Office in the next couple of hours before they shut, and just transfer it over to you?

I was actually  thinking about sending via another bank. I might give it a go.

Sorry - I was thinking of how the post office will take cheques, cash is a different issue of course.

My golden rule is to never deposit any money into any account before I have full online / app access to it, and am able to transact as I require (e.g. making online purchases).

Depending on the account, you might need a debit card to register for the access. Others will give you instant access, and some even a virtual debit card you can use immediately.
