Offence code for insurance purposes

Hi

i cannot work out from documentation whether speeding 57 in a  50mph limit should be SP30 - driving more than statutory speed limit while on public road OR SP40 - Driving faster than passenger vehicle speed limits ? Can anyone help please ? Thankyou

    Then it's SP30. You would normally be offered a course for that speed unless you had done one in the previous three years.

    The only other common speeding offence code is an SP50, which is if the offence occurred on a motorway.

    A passenger vehicle in this context means a bus or coach, and SP40 means exceeding the speed limit for that class of vehicle (which is often lower than the speed limit for cars).
