Beneficiaries of pension

Does anybody have any experience of beneficiaries of a Collective Retirement Account pension?
The deceased set the pension up through a financial advisor. The financial advisor has been dealing with the company the account is with and suggests they set up new accounts for the beneficiaries as part of their service to the deceased but the beneficiaries will then incur ongoing advisor charges on what is not a lot of money. Is there a way to set up a beneficiary flexi withdrawal account that can be self managed to save financial advisor fees?

I think your question would be better off posting over on the pensions board.0
