hican anyone tell me what the main difference is between the 32 bit & the 64 bit vista ultimate is

32 bit sees 4gb of ram (in theory, though in windows anything between 3.25gb and 3.75gb)

64bit sees an awful amount more (we are talking tb's , 1000gb=1tb)
(not sure of the exact number, but windows will limit in what you can see)

I think the easy answer on this one is that if you don't know why you would need the 64bit version then you don't actually need it.

i love the way ms 'fixed' that issue in the by just changeing the way it is reported in control panel lol.

!!!!!! linux has had the himem option in the 32bit kernel as long as i can remember
