Problems opening Easy Access Saver at YBS

Hi everyone, has anyone else had any problems opening the Easy Access Saver at the Yorkshire Building Society at all? We have been trying for over a week to do this and both myself and my husband get different messages. First hubby had a message saying they couldn’t verify his identity, then one saying you have reached the limit for this type of account (we have one other account at YBS but not this type) and I’ve had a message saying there was a problem with my tax details, I don’t understand it. My husband phoned YBS this morning and they just said clear your cookies etc but it’s still not working, anyone else had these problems?

    I had the usual we need to carry out further checks poop when applying, so they opened the account then got that, go to app you can see details but can't fund, can now fund a couple of days later than opened.

    I've got many accounts with YBS (multiple regular savings and easy access), never understand why they do this but I get there in the end.

    Easy Access Saver isn't really that new it's just a rebrand of Interest Saver Plus *insert issue number here*, of which I have a few due to getting the issue number directly & because some regular savings accounts ended & got automatically converted.

    Going forward YBS are using Easy Access name, Internet Saver Plus name continues for existing customers.

    What other YBS product do you have?

  • Hi James, thanks for your reply, we've got the Easy Access Share account, had it for some years now but don’t use it, we only thought about opening the Easy Access Saver because we’ve inherited some money and need to move some to a different building society. My husband phone the YBS the other way and all she said was clear your cookies etc, not very helpful at all ☹️

    I've managed to open and fund the Easy Access Saver.

    All I can really suggest is maybe change your browser and/or device you use if you've tried what they said, also could they not open one over the phone for you if they did security questions?
