Repointing a chimney and valley

Ive had a quote of £960 to rakeout and repoint our bungalow's chimney stack plus the valley at the front where the mortar has completely broken away. The chimney cracks have caused a damp patch to appear on the chimney breast ceiling in the living room. I'm in northwest England.

question? If they need scaffolding it sounds reasonable."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "1

No, they wont need scaffolding but it will be a full day job. Theyre a very reputable roofing company though and all 5* reviews from what i can see. The roofer says the problems with damp from chimneys are common these days as they arent used as often.
