Yes, the insurers had been advised of my upcoming knee operation when we renewed - we were advised to renew by the travel insurance company. I had also listed Osteoarthritis as one of my medical conditions when taking out the travel insurance and was charged a bit extra for this condition. They were happy to take extra premium but not to pay out when I advised I would be unable to travel it seems.0

Mark-D. We did try to reschedule to 2025 but the cruise was with Imagine Cruises with planned shows on board including Russell Watson and Tim Peake but they did not have same cruise planned for 2025.The deposit was paid in Sept 23 and I was advised I needed a knee operation in Dec/Jan. I am currently recovering. The insurance for 24/25 was renewed early April and the cruise would have been late April 24.

Are the insurance company saying it is not covered as when you renewed if effectively became an existing condition so outwith the policy? Just wondering if it is not so much the fact that different year more that a different policy from booking to claim. Under first policy it would be covered as not a pre-existing condition but not under second it would be excluded.0
