Travel Insurance for 16yr old travelling alone

 An anyone point me in the right direction for travel insurance for a 16yr old travelling from the UK to the Canary Islands on her own.  On arrival she will be met by and staying with her grandparents so it’s literally just the flight when she is alone.  So far everyone I’ve contacted say she must be accompanied by someone 18yrs plus but Ryanair class her as an adult and allow her to fly alone. Thanks

Have tried compare the market etc who will give you a quote but then in the “small print” of the policy its says they must be accompanied by someone 18yrs plus 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

Can’t get to speak to the people that offer the insurance on Ryanair as it’s nothing to do with Ryanair themselves.  There’s no contact information for the company other than an  email address which I sent an enquiry for but they were less than helpful just gave me a long long list of insurance companies to “try” but having spent hours on Thursday phoning different companies all with the same answer “she has to be travelling with someone over 18”.  

Bank insurance exactly the same - it’s all in the small print 🤷🏻‍♀️
