Have I been underpaid

I have applied for UC on 28.04 as I have been migrated over. When I received my amended tc award for 06.04.23 to 05.04.24 my income shows £23820 , I have called and after deductions were included my income is 21700. The previous year 22-23 was £20700. For the last 12 months I have had payments of £251 and expected when I updated my income that I would have been underpaid but they HMRC are stating it all balances , can someone confirm please . I have 1 child and work over 30 hours ? Thanks in advance

This is probably correct, although I couldn't say for sure without seeing your award notices.
Your tax credits throughout 23/24 would have been based on your 22/23 income (this is always the case unless you provide HMRC with an updated estimated income figure during the year).
As your income for 23/24 turned out to be within £2,500 of your 22/23 income, the 22/23 income is what gets used for the 23/24 calculation, so what you were paid was correct.0
