Hi all,
Looking for some help - during Shell Energy transferring over to Octopus early this year we received a bill from Shell, however, when it has come to paying this shell energy is now closed. We contacted Octopus to make this payment to them since accounts were transferred and now there is no record of it so they are saying the bill doesn't exist & therefore nothing to pay. But, on my credit score it is showing a missed payment from Shell energy yet I can't pay it as its just vanished! Any suggestions on how to further tackle this issue??

What did Shell say when you rang them?
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Make an official complaint, allow them to investigate, it should be resolved.
If not, you then escalate the matter to either energy ombudsman, or more appropriately the ICO.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
