Carers Allowance and work bonus

Hi, can someone help with a question on carers allowance and work bonuses that may (no guarantee) be received twice a year as one off payments in those two months?
Reading on Carers UK, if a one off bonus is received from your employer, you tell the DWP and they stop your payment of CA for the following month if paid monthly.
The DWP say they can't answer the question until the amount to be received is known as it's earnings.
This gets more confusing, unable to get hold of Citizens Advice by phone, so no wonder people fall foul of it all.

It is additional earnings when received, so you tell Carers Allowance when received and they will decide whether you lose benefit entitlement for a period.

Carers Allowance won't make a decision now based on some future change in your earnings and benefit advice services can't give you an answer that is definitely going to be what happens.

How much is your normal pay received each month or week ?  How much bonus are you likely to receive ?
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

The easiest thing to do is when you get your bonus, phone Carer's Allowance and inform them. In addition, put this in writing as a backup.

It's likely you will lose your CA for that month. Bonuses are earnings and if it takes you over the threshold you will lose it.
