Play.com problem

Does anyone know if the direct seller regulations apply to Play.com??

Christmas present ordered on 10th Dec, arrived today (28th).

I don't think they do because Play.com are based in Jersey.

Was it in stock when you ordered.... Was it pre-release.. Did they have a delivery before Christmas guarantee

Play do this a lot. They also refuse to stop orders if they haven't gone out.

You could return for a refund but they will just say it was due to royal mail.

I would check your account and check when it was posted, if they posted it in good time then its Royal Mail at fault not Play. Like a previous poster said was the item on pre-order or was it in stock when the order was placed?

I ordered from Play on Thursday before Xmas and got it in time. So I would suggest that Play were on top with their orders. They are a good company.

I ordered on the 15th, for a pressie for a January birthday, got email on 17th saying been sent and cc charged, nothing arrived so checked site, which said awaiting stock. Called them to be told unavailable and would not be sent, I asked how come I had email and had been charged, she could not explain but did refund me straight away. But no explaination of how error occured and I am still waitign for refund to show on ccard, and am now missing main pressie for ds birthday. Not impressed with their service this time, but all past purchases have been fine.

I am also not impressed by play.com. I ordered interactive Harry Potter and Hermione wands together on 12 Dec, and only one arrived. When I phoned to find out about the other one they said they weren't sure when they would be able to deliver it. A couple of days later on 21 Dec it then showed on my account as awaiting stock, previously it had not said anything about a delay. Both were showing as in stock when I ordered them.

I have emailed them to complain and had an acknowlegment automatic email, but nil else in over a week. Not very good service. Very disappointed as I had ordered a lot from play in the past but won't be again.

I would advise contacting them to return your goods and ask them to pay for it.

when i order with play.com i just sit back and wait and they turn up in the end.
I have to weigh up the options if i want it quick i use HMV or AMAZON if iwant it cheap i use play.com.

ordered 3 rolling stones t-shirts and a flash drive (posted on this great site) got one shirt friday got the flash drive monday still waiting for 2 more t's yet they were all sent out the same day.

I have only recently started to use play.com and I have to say they have been great. I ordered a dvd on friday 21st December, not really expecting to receive until after xmas. However it was delivered on christmas eve before 10am. Well done play.com:beer:

I use Play alot and I have never had a problem, lucky I guess
