I applied for UC as single person with children. I get carers allowance for 1 of my child who lives with me he gets DLA but my ex partner is the appointee for the child. I don't know why but UC have written a letter to my Ex partners address informing him . Is this something UC normally do?

It's perfectly normal for them to contact the claimant or the appointee of the claimant when you claim carers allowance or carers element.0
