I applied for UC as single person with children. I get carers allowance for 1 of my child who lives with me he gets DLA but my ex partner is the appointee for the child. I don't know why but UC have written a letter to my Ex partners address informing him . Is this something UC normally do?
(We have received new information about your care) we have been notified that my name claims carers allowance for you 35 hours or more a week
If this is not correct please call us.

It's perfectly normal for them to contact the claimant or the appointee of the claimant when you claim carers allowance or carers element.0
