Out of Date Claim

Hi Martin I've received a letter from HMRC to advise my claim is out of date for a tax refund paid on a PPI payout in 2018. Is there any other way I can claim the tax back. Rung the tax office but they only quoted to 4 year rule.

Omitted to say that the form was posted by next day delivery to be received by Inland Revenue on 04.04.24 so in the 23/24 tax year. Not sure if this helps.0
