Morning allJust sitting having a coffee and a breather after doing the dreaded housework and decided to give the leather suite a good clean. Was more thorough than usual as I had the tv on listening to that horrible Vennels woman from the Post Office scandal starting her evidence!Went out into the garage earlier to get something out of the freezer in there for dinner tonight and looked down and there was a tiny blue tit just laying there dead. Aww I gave it a decent burial under a rose bush :-(Right, onwards and upwards. Have a good day all x9

Good morning everyone and thanks for the start @Gers. Thinking of you today on your DMum’s anniversary. I hope your day is full of love and fond memories of her x
It is damp here today. DH dropped me off (has been doing so for the past week) and my day is quiet (what’s new) although I’m meeting a friend for a coffee at lunchtime. Dinner tonight is tuna pasta bake and I have some ironing to do, which shouldn’t take too long. Hoping to go to the cinema tomorrow evening to see IF which is about imaginary friends – some light relief.
I have sown some BNS @WickedLady4 but nothing up yet. That’s a bargain for £1! I did plant out 5 courgettes in the borders at the weekend, and potted up some tomato plants. Every little helps J
For all those out and about today, enjoy yourselves and hope the weather is kind to you x
Have a good day all

Morning everyone just come in from a cleaning job it’s absolutely tipping down and it’s due to stay that way for the next couple of days I’m going to make a sandwich for lunch then I need to pop out and get some mushrooms I will take the dog for a decent walk later she doesn’t mind getting wet she’s snoozing at the minute then I have a bedroom to empty I’ve already emptied the en suite getting a new one delivered Friday plumber is coming Friday to rip the old one out my son is plastering it at the weekend then plumber is back Tuesday Wednesday and maybe into Thursday to fit new one then I get the same done to my bathroom 4 weeks later so I’m going to be upside down for a little while . I’ve also been to the charity shop and handed in the old bathroom cabinet and towel rail nothing the matter with them I’m just getting a heated towel rail and a posh light up mirror bathroom cabinet so someone will be able to make good use of my old ones . I’ve also just discovered the sewing bee I watched it last night and enjoyed it I’ve never watched so much television in my life I’m finding all sorts since i retired. Hopefully we will get some dry weather soon I need to decorate all the downstairs I’m going to be like you soon GERS empty purse although I no sooner get saved up and something else needs doing but I think that’s going to be about it for this year . TAFF I’ve been tempted to put the heating on these last couple of days it’s been so cold but shifting furniture about should keep me warm today . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

It's pouring down here now, luckily I met the daughter of one of my colleagues at work in one of the shops and she offered me a lift back home. She came to our nursery - it's lovely when you see they've turned into nice adults.
Taff - DD is very lucky - she loves her job, especially all the travelling. She does work hard sometimes and has deadlines to meet, but it's what she always wanted to do.
Coxy - I'm planning to take little one to see If next week, she loves a visit to the cinema.

Gers, I'll be honest, it doesn't occur to me about anniversaries for when mine died, I'm not much for remembering dates [ very blokey like that] , but I hope today goes without much pain [apart from the spending money bit which keeps you safe!]

Weird isn't it. I see people with the births and deaths dates tattooed on them, sometimes I want them, sometimes I don't. I have pictures of them on my bookshelf, so every time I look at it, I see them. I find myself talking to them too. When my father was alive, he used ot tell me he'd told my mother something and that she was sad about it [ he would be telling her these things at the gravesite] I do find I miss them more as I get older. No one much talks about death or what follows, generally speaking that is. You have to search it out, read books about it, maybe go to counselling. I think the worst is the memories for me, I can only share the memories I have of them with who's left who remembers them, and that pool is getting smaller and smaller. I used to scoff at the Italian 'corner of remebrance' where every dead relative had a photo jostling for space, now I htink it's a brilliant idea. I'm sure that speaks to the age I am now versus the age I was then, with mortality breathing downmy neck I am not the oblivious to death person I used to be. But then, that might be maturity speaking, or it might be fear...
