Student Travel insurance - 1 year USA

Any recommendations for Travel Insurance for a 19 year old student travelling to the USA on a student exchange?

I suggest that you ask your host university. You will actually be living there while studying, so UK travel insurance would not be appropriate.

Mmmmmm, his US Uni require him to take out Medical insurance and his UK Uni are recommending Travel insurance. This makes sense as it will cover flights, luggage and loss/thefts etc when away.

So i am at a bit of a loss on how to get travel insurance for him then!
