Credit card protection on purchase

I have to make a fairly large purchase of material with a company based in Europe (Czech Republic). I have never used them as suppliers before and I have made checks on their website, bought some samples, and searched for reviews (there aren't any but I would not expect to find them as it is a very sepecialized kind of material). I have know of them (without using them) for years. The material is actually lots of small decorated boards, each one costing about €10 but for a much larger total. Would a credit card protect me in case of issues, or would the purchase be considered as a series of small items each one less than £100?

If the total is over £100 I believe that will be treated as £100 and you'd be covered. But do check what it's going to cost for import on all of this as it may make it much too expensive. Too many people have been caught out ordering things and then getting a bill for import, taxes plus admin on processing that.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. Buying from the EU does not incur import duties into the UK, assuming the goods are manufactured in the Czech Republic.
Duties would only be applied if the products you are buying originated from outside of the EU and were then sold on to you in the UK. This applies even if duties were paid when initially importing the goods into the EU.1 -

Obviously if it simply doesn't turn up or such then you have Chargeback protection irrespective of if you use Credit or Debit card.0 -
Thank you, it is a bit tricky because they are custom made small boards, each on is about €10, but together they make one set of 20 (so €200), and I but 20 sets
