Child passport application

Hello, I'm struggling with knowing if my birth certificates will be accepted. The online application is stating that I need for both myself and son;


full birth or adoption certificate (showing both the child’s and parents’ details)

His birth certificate shows all this information whereas mine does not.

These are like the ones I have the first being mine without my parents detail's.

Yes, I've put the number into the application

A while since I applied for a child's passport but am sure my passport number was enough and I didn't need to send an documents other than the child's birth cert

I only have the red type certificate and have never had an issue with applying for my own or daughter's passport.

Thought I'd update this thread.

Applied for a new full birth certificate just incase. But also sent off my sons long birth certificate and my short one and I've just received his passport before I've received my full birth certificate.

Overall since sending the 2 birth certificates off to the passport People it took 8 to receive it back.
