Undeclared savings

I've had a message on my journal to say DWP have information to suggest I have undeclared savings. I have no savings, only one account where all money comes in and out from, less than £6k. Then i have my son's account where his dad pays into monthly.
My son who turned 18 recently has his own matured junior ISA account. Would they be taking that into account?

Is your son on your claim as a dependent ?If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0

A few possibilities... they have incorrect information... son's account in whose name?.. no premium bonds.. savings accounts...paypal balance.. investments etc? I presume you have no partner living with you? And like pete asks.. presumably you have no property ownership other than where you live?
I presume they are going to interview you and gave a date?
Anyone had experience pre interview of nature like this??...because I wonder if you are sure you are not incorrect regarding savings declared... if there is any value to asking for U/C's advice on how you can evidence they are wrong since you are only aware of having one current account and it most certainly doesn't have undeclared savings of over £6k... seems a reasonable request because if they can see some other account then it would help to know what it is and therefore what evidence they may need.

The most likely issue is likely to be the son's account if the OP is a named account holder on it. All capital to which a person has access is included in calculations. For example, if a parent puts money into an account for a child, but still has access to that money, it is included for benefits calculation purposes.

It will come down to the beneficial owner of the capital not the legal owner..
A parent can have the child's money in their account (legal owner) and the child is the beneficial owner.
The issue will be showing who is the beneficial owner as default will be the legal owner of capital.
