Cost of repointing and sealing patio

Patio is 23 square metres.  Want it repointed and sealed.  Had quotes varying from £500 to £2000 on mybuilder.  What would you consider reasonable?

Please be very careful using those kind of sites, they are reputable businesses but also plenty of rogues. Try and get recommendations from family, friends, work colleagues of local businesses they use. Or if you have used a reputable tradesmen previously ask them if they know anyone.

The problem with any repointing job is that it's really easy to take short cuts on.
Not prepping properly by raking out deep enough, cleaning out the joints, damping down existing, are key time consuming jobs, but can't be seen on the finished job. You won't know for at least 6 months.
