Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Lovely day seeing DS1 and family yesterday, DGS has really taken a stretch, it quite took me by surprise! We had a good chat, lunch and a lovely walk in the countryside.
Ouch to the price of the little one's shoes Snoozer.
Oh dear Gers, that's a lot of expense all at once but better to be safe.
Hope you enjoyed the strawberries SO, mine are just flowering.
Glad you had a good holiday WL.
What a stopout you are TA, sounds like you all had fun.
WM just about to finish so will peg the washing out before I go to work. Just a short week at work this week and next, it's the half term long weekend.
Have a happy Monday, take care. XX

Morning again, it's grey and quite cold here, back to normal then.
We were going to go out yesterday, but I was so tired that Dh suggested that we stay at home and go out later in the week possibly. I say possibly because we are preparing to paint the downstairs rooms. We moved a few things out of the living room, and he got painting gear out of the shed.
I had a slightly better night last night anyway.
SO, home grown strawberries, yum - I like strawberries.
Hope everyone has a good day, thinking of Nanny and anyone else who is not well.
Take care folks.13 -
Morning allLovely day out yesterday with beautiful weather as an added bonus. The plan today is to get some steps in at the local park and then go on to local shopping centre which has 2 charity shops that I have some donations for and, hopefully, pop into opticians to get some new sunglasses with polarised lenses as the ones I have are on their way out and since having a cateract op the other year I seem to be squinting alot more in the bright weather, especially when driving. Before that I must hang some washing out.Hope everyone has a good day x12

Monday again then!? 😬
So lovely to have decent weather for a whole weekend - I think we deserve it after the abysmal winter and early spring.Back to work today - another busy week which is tempered by the thought of half term.
Yesterday was a blur of gardening, sewing, cleaning, cooking though I did enjoy sitting in the sun sanding blocks of wood again.Hope everyone has a good week and those poorlies start to feel better.AA11 -
Morning all. Thanks for starting us off @Scarlet.The band of mist soon burnt off yesterday though the day stayed decidedly cool. I did a small quick wash and got it outside to dry. When he was here my nephew managed to switch off the really annoying and persistent beep which my washing machine did when the programme had finished. Bliss. I didn't go anywhere, caught up on TV and really festered. My cough is getting worse again, it's really chesty and loose. I think it's some sort of polllen problem.I've cancelled my exercise class today. There's no point risking the car and I feel that coughing through the class is not a brilliant idea. As I've got resistance bands and a pair of dumbells here I'll go a little workout. 🤞
So, no shopping and no going out though I'll probably potter in the garden. Or, more likely, sit in the sunshine. It's a bright sunny morning with the promise of a high of 20° today.I hope that our poorlies are resting, taking meds and generally getting better.11 -
Morning folks. I'm back home again and on my trusty lappie so I shall be able to bore you all with more waffle than my limited offerings from my phone. Squinting and sausage fingers makes it hard work.
I didn't do too bad for weather all things considered. Three lovely days of sun to start with, then 3 days of gloom and rain, then finally three more days of sun. I don't think we are forecast much in the way of sun today but no rain is promised so that's a bonus.
I am currently hiding in the bathroom with a much needed colour on my hair. The roots were a disgrace and the sun had stripped the colour off the rest of it. I felt a total mess.
The washing accumulated over the last 9 days is to do today and later I shall be off grocery shopping with DS. The fridge is bare, as is fruit bowl and veg box, so thank goodness for freezer stores as back up.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. NAN I hope all goes well for your appointment and the rest of the problems you have had too are on the mend. Take care all be safe xx

IzzyBee said:Gers hope the coughing clears up soon did you enjoy Rebus I’ve watched a couple now it’s getting better. After a slow'ish start, and a gory scene, I settled into it. The new Rebus is very good. John Hannah is an excellent actor who was seriously miscast (think Tom Cruise as Reacher), Grant Stott is another excellent actor who was miscripted (think Peter Capaldi as Dr Who). I've watched two episodes so will probably catch another couple today.Enjoy your walk and natter.

Morning all, we had lovely weather for the weekend, I actually wore a summer dress yesterday but it's cooler and cloudy now. In the morning we went for a ride to a farmers market just over the moors so we had lovely views as a bonus. We had a barbecue for tea, various skewers from the butchers. Not sure about tonight, there are skewers left but it might not be warm enough.Rebus is one of the programmes on my list to watch, I liked the actor( cant remember his name now) when he was in Outlander.Hope you all have a good day, I need to read back from the weekend x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all. Beginning to brighten up here.
Collected my car yesterday and all seems well. Today I have a list of things to do; cake making, ironing, shopping in town and yet more laundry so it will be a pottering sort of day. I've taken some pork shoulder steaks out of the freezer and will do them in the slow cooker once I get going. We also have an empty fruit bowl so must deal with that.
Hope everyone's day goes well.11
