Hello all i I am in the process of buying a house and I have a question for all. I presume building regs require a door between the kitchen and the stairs (even if the residents were happy with the fire risk and noise/smells rising upstairs).

Doozergirl seems to think not but if you’re staying and not selling, you wouldn’t necessarily tell BC?,

You’ll be selling eventually though? And possibly needing BC to agree to other elements of the works.
