To clarify, do you mean your broadband drops, or your wifi drops? If its the broadband, has it been reported?not sure, just know the router lights went red when they are supposed to be blue. The ONLY deal we could find on ML is for POP telecom at £35 per month on an 18 month contract with NO score. Never heard of them and obviously not been going long if ML has no score. This is why we wanted to move the landline number to a mobile so we could keep the number but get a good deal just on broadband. My parents are pensioners and don't have a lot of income but they have got used to having broadband now.0 -
With reference to a new phone you should be aware that there is a design problem with the BT DV adapter in that it fails to ring some phones. The problem can apparently be resolved by connecting the phone via an ADSL filter.

On the router dropping the connection, you don't happen to have iPhones or iPads connected at the time do you?0

I am not aware of which phones are particularly relevant but presumably there are still a lot of people with 30 year old phones. Having spent about a week and about 15 hours with BT chat trying to understand the problem, it seems that it might be a good idea for BT to take steps to avoid its repeated occurence.BT fault reporting were almost useless, other than showing a lot of patience whilst going round and round in circles.0

The reality is, times change and very old devices that were built to work with the exchanges of their time aren't going to be plug and play with the very latest technology. No provider is going to get involved with the customers legacy technology, it was decide back in the 1980's that the customer would take ownership of the phone itself, hence why the BT style phone jack was introduced.0
