Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x Sorry to hear of your lack of sleep x
Bright and sunny here. DH and I need to visit the local mall later for a wedding shirt (him) and wedding make up (me). It was the bridal shower yesterday at DIL2Bs mums house. Lovely to meet the wider family and friends before the big day. Enough prosecco and scones to feed the 5,000 - did my best to eat my quota!
Annoying about the car expenditure @Gers but needs must.
Ooh homegrown strawberries are the best @silver-oldie - how lovely x
Wow that was a late night @TravellingAbuela - you will be needing a nap later!
Hugs to @nannywindow x
Chartwell is lovely @Chrisca50 - there are a couple of nice pubs on the Green in Westerham.
Jersey sounds lovely @WickedLady4 glad you had a good time.
Hoping to get out in the garden this afternoon to pot on some tomatoes plants and some lettuce. Then it's roast chicken for dinner and some ironing - living the dream right there!
Have a good day all

Hi everyone,
We had a busy day yesterday. Brian was in London and Laura had a study call in the morning so we took the children to pick up Esben's new shoes - he measures an F width but still needed insoles to make them fit. We also had Esther's feet measured and she had grown so we got her some new trainer like shoes - £44!!! She'll probably be out of them in three months as well. In the afternoon Laura went to join brian so we had the children until late. Esben had his face painted like Sonic (not very like but he was happy) but then was upset when it started to wear off so it took some cajoling to get him ready for bed. We'd had a long walk and both of them had done a lot of running around so they and we were shattered.
Today we have our recently bereaved friend for dinner so I am trying to sort the house a little bit (she is very tidy).
Chrisca - a number of years ago I worked at the Churchill Archive Centre in Cambridge and had a private tour of Chartwell, including the bits the public don't get to see. I had the same at the Cabinet War Rooms in London as well as other jollies. It was a great job for the perks (College meals, meeting interesting people etc) but the job itself was boring and I only lasted two years there.
Nanny, sorry to hear you're not well.
Have a good day.6 -
Fascinating @snoozer The chap in Churchill's study was telling us that they do private tours to view the rest of his study that wasn't open to us on the normal tour. Remember going there about 30 years ago, forgot how expansive the grounds were. Was a lovely day, really enjoyed it x
