Good morning, it's a grey start here but might improve I suppose.
I've been awake for a long time, worrying about this and that, but finally gave in and came downstairs.
Glad you had family time with your nephew Gers, and were able to help him.
Sounds as if you are having plenty of family time as well TA, enjoy!
Nanny, sorry to read that you've got a problem with your hand, you are certainly going through the mill and no mistake, thoughts to you.
Also thinking of anyone else who isn't well, take care folks.

Morning allHad a lie in until 6.45am this morning. First time for a long time!Going to visit Chartwell House today, home of Churchill, using a Christmas present of National Trust membership. Went there many years ago when the DSs were younger. Only 40 minutes away so a nice drive out. Hopefully find a nice pub nearby for lunch, so we'll see. Then back home for the end of the footie season.Hope everyone has a good day too xx10

Morning all
Lovely sunny day, make such a difference to how I feel about the day ahead.Nice day yesterday - met an ex work colleague - we managed to cram 10 months of catch up/gossip into 3 hours plus lunch. And I felt very virtuous for a) choosing a salad based lunch and b) mowing and strimming the lawn when I got back.Today I’ll be doing some garden jobs - a huge trough of clematis to untangle from its support and try to move in readiness for some new slabs being laid. Plus much tidying up. And hopefully some craft work too .
Hope all the poorly folk are better especially Nan who seems to have far more than her fair share of challenges.Take careAA11 -
Morning all,
Woke up early after having bad dreams, so I have been watching random you tube videos, to distract me.I don’t have any plans for today, I do need to work on my budget and menu plan for the week. I will sort out one of my food cupboards first, it is rammed full with pastas, cereals etc., and it is hard to see what I have in. I did my tinned cupboard on Friday and I have so many tins of kidney beans!
I made a cake yesterday to use up bananas, that I need to portion up and freeze, both DH and myself are dieting so I take a slice out daily.
Apart from this, it will be a quiet day of crocheting and watching the golf on tv this evening.
Take care all.

Morning All
Cloudy this morning with a nice fresh feel to the air, yesterday got really warm - I had to put the parasol up to find some shade while I read a book. The allotment is coming along well now, all the broad beans are in and some are flowering. Took ages to water everything as I did the other folk's beds too.
I'm going to visit DS1 and family today after a swim, I've also got something to drop off to friends on the way so a busy day ahead.
I hope your hand is recovering Nanny, keep an eye on it.
Great you could catch up with your Nephew Gers.
Enjoy your day out Chrisca.
Hope you get a nanna nap later Scarlet.
Bathrooms have been cleaned but that will be about it for housework!
Hope you all have a peaceful Sunday, take care. XX10 -

Morning all.
Back from Jersey, our first visit to any of the Channel Islands. We were staying in St Helier, which was far busier and noisier than expected, but we were ok once we'd sorted out our walking route through a park and alongside the water. Used the local buses to get everywhere and visited a main attraction each day, plus a few other places. Had some lovely food as well and sunshineOur flight was delayed coming back though so back home about midnight.
Today I'm waiting to see what the weather does as I've two loads of washing to, hopefully, hang out and then DH is driving me to St Albans to collect my car, which I left with the dealership for some work to be completed. I've found a chicken curry in the freezer so that will be fine for tonight.
Hope everyone has been keeping as well as they can and I'm looking forward to some fine, dry weather for a few days now.10 -
Morning. Thanks for starting us off @Scarlet. And welcome back @WL, what a lovely time you've had. @SO - what a treat, bet they were tasty. @Nan - are you resting? Get better soon.My yesterday was mixed. Some good bits and some less so. In the morning my nephew and I had breakfast together in a little cafe, he had the full monty whilst I had two poached eggs on toast. Our long chats have helped clear his mind about his problem so he's ready to take the bull by the horns when home. When we arrived back he noticed that I had a very bald front tyre 😱 and two others with low depth left. After a couple of calls I found that a tyre place in Oban had the required size in stock. So, in the afternoon I went up there. The news was bad, two front tyres replaced and then there was a nail in a third. 😰 Then, the bloke took me to my car to show me the worn brake pads. 😱😱 There'll be replaced on Wednesday. Empty purse! However, this spending will keep me safe on the roads. I had the car serviced last October so I need to check the invoice for that. The heavy fog only lifted in the early afternoon and it became a lovely warm day. Not so much fog this morning but also not so much sun behind it. I've woken with a very thick throat and a cough, it's appeared overnight from nowhere. I'll spend my day drinking water and watching a bit of telly. There's the new Rebus to start, I'll fast forward through BGT and two episodes of NCIS.Whatever you do today I hope it's great.8

Morning folks I am the only one up and dressed after a very late night - 1.30 am!!
Yesterday a very busy day after my week of sloth. Car boot in morning then late lunch before DDs ex, his .mum and the 3 half siblings joined us for the afternoon in the sunshine. Youngest DGD filled the paddling pool for the littlies. We were up at their van at night till the early hours! I'm not used to such a late night.
We are all off home late afternoon after another day in the sun. Take care all.be safe xx
