Hastings Direct Car insurance, details don't appear on web portal.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for taking to time to read about my strange issue.

I recently took out car insurance with Hastings via Compare the Market.

Everything went smoothly,  they took the payment and sent me my policy number but when I login to my online account none of my details are there, no policy documents, nothing.
I'm greeted with a blank page, the app is a similar issue, telling me my details can't be retrieved at this time.
The account is classed as as a self help online one.

This got me really concerned that I wasn't actually covered, that being said they took my money and gave me a policy number so by right I am?

Anyway I have checked via mib.org.uk and that says the car is insured but it doesn't show any other details, is it supposed to?

Anyway can anyone help in my next step, I have emailed them but honestly I don't expect a reply, partly because I'm not even sure it's the right email. The general advice I get from Google search is to contact them via the web portal but as that just gives me a blank page I can't really do that.

I will add that I only took out the insurance from the 15th, so 3 days from writing this post.

Anyway sorry for the long post.

Mark.

The MID offers two checks your can do:

    1) Own Vehicle - this simply says yes or no for the date the query was run, it provides no further details and you are only allowed to use it for a vehicle you own

    2) Third party vehicle - this check costs £10, you have to specify a date on which you want the check to be done and you will get the full details of the insurer, policynumber etc. This is intended to be used by those involved in an accident where the third party has failed to provide their insurance details and you must confirm that this is the purpose you are using it for
