Wondering whether anyone else has had this and whether it's a new introduction.
Wanted to place an offer on an item. Obviously struggled with the usual changing and breaking the website initially. In order to place the offer, I had to pre-authorise payment. Not thrilled but okay. However, on logging in to the PayPal pop-up the only option was to pre-authorise all future payments.
Is it just me that thinks this is an absolute disgrace? Ebay continuously seems to want open access to payment systems. If people want the convenience, good for them but to make it mandatory when simply placing a offer?
Unsurprisingly 'customer service' weren't particularly interested and the details of how to undo this inaccurate. When I checked the account payment information, the paypal account was there. I assume just added, there's no history information. There is absolutely no indication that this has been set up as an automatic way of paying and that users will not be required to authorise ebay taking each paypal payment. (Yep, the PayPal they wanted to stop people using.)
Hopefully delete works, haven't tried yet as I want to ensure the purchase completes.
