Anyway to contact Easyjet re cancellation (holiday not flights)

Due to an urgent and unexpected  medical issue I need to cancel an Easyjet package holiday that I am within 6 weeks of taking, online the auto chat bot says I will only lose the £60 per person deposit - which I am fine with. However holidays can only be cancelled by requesting assistance via an online form.

I completed the form 5 days ago and got an online message saying they hoped to reply in 48 hours, but I have received nothing. I did it again 1 day ago and still nothing.

We are all a bit stressed at the moment due to the medical issue and just want this finished - but there is no way of contacting them by phone or chat bot to actually talk to anyone. All the online assistance relates only to flights only.

Has anyone else encountered this issue and if so how long did you wait for someone to get in touch?

It isn't helped by the fact that I am getting the little auto messages about remembering to log in and pay my balance that is now due in a couple of weeks.

It's quite well hidden, but there is a phone number on the easyJet Holidays help website Contact Us | easyJet holidays

Speak to the easyJet holidays team

The easyJet holidays team can only help customers who've booked a complete package holiday with easyJet holidays (a booking with easyJet holidays that includes flight, hotel, luggage etc.). If you've just booked a flight with easyJet, please visit the flight only contact us page.

View the phone number for easyJet holidays

If you need to speak to us about a complete package holiday with easyJet holidays (and not a flight only booking with easyJet), you can get in touch with our team on 0330 551 5160 (or +44330 551 5160 if you're currently on holiday). Our team are available from Monday to Sunday, 8am - 8pm. Calls cost a standard rate. Calls from mobile or other networks may vary.

Hopefully by now you’ve got through to someone to sort it but I’d be (very) surprised if the only loss was £60pp - did it specifically mention the number or just ‘deposit’ which may be a higher number if you booked on ‘low deposit’ scheme ?

hope both this and the medical issue have positive outcomes

easyJet holidays have a very generous deposit policy https://www.easyjet.com/en/holidays/info/why-book-with-us

    - £60pp deposit
    - Balance due 28 days before travel
    - Change your mind up to 60 days before travel and even receive the £60pp deposit back as easyjet Holidays credit - any instalments already paid over and above the deposit refunded
    - Between 59-28 days before travel - loss of deposit
    - 27 - 14 days before travel - 75%
    - less than 14 days - 100%

Surprised they don't make more of it in advertising - it's a real differentiator especially as they want to grow into the holidays market.

Really useful to know - and as you say that should be a key selling point for them

Thank you for that number, I looked everywhere and had still missed it.

I have contacted easyjet and despite the recorded message assuring me it is simple to cancel online- and suggesting I use the auto bot (which tells you that you need to use the contact form as it can't be cancelled online by booker) I stayed on the phone and spoke to someone.

They confirmed I will lose the £60 per head deposit as expected and said confirmation of cancellation will be sent out today.

Assuming I do get confirmation then I am happy with the protection and policies I get with easyjet holidays. I always used to arrange my own holidays but after having issues and losing money during the pandemic I now often use easyjet for City breaks as there are always money off offers and a good cancellation policy.

The holidays are also easy to customise, I always get a choice of flight times, hotels, room type, I can even have a private taxi transfer and basically make my own package up.
