Sunday Times Where Was I? competition

The prize:

The winner and guest will stay for two nights, B&B, in a Palladian room at the Painswick in Gloucestershire. Set in an 18th century house on the edge of Painswick, this welcoming restaurant with rooms is well-placed for spectacular walks along the Cotswold Scarp and leafy afternoons in Painswick’s Rococo garden.

Meanwhile, back at base there are cozy lounges, crackling fires and a buzzing cocktail bar, as well as 17 bedrooms. The Palladian rooms are amongst the largest and offer king-size beds, rolltop baths and an arty and relaxed sense of style. Also included in the prize are a cocktail each and one three-course dinner for two (with a bottle of house wine) at the Painswick Restaurant, where chef Jamie McCullum works with the best local and seasonal ingredients – including Cotswold lamb and Wiltshire truffles.

The prize must be taken before October 31, 2024, subject to availability and excluding public holidays.
