Uc Application??

I have today done the UC Application online and completed it. My ID has been verified online. I am a full time carer and spend over 35 hours a week carring and in receipt of carers allowance.

In the UC area it says our records show that you are getting carers allowance. Do I need to do change of circumstances to make sure I get the carrer element?

Also it says What happens next

On 19th June 2024 we will tell you how much you are going to get.

You will be paid any money you are entitled to before 8 pm on 23rd June 2024

Is the above correct as I am confused because the 23rd of June is a Sunday are they going to pay me on a Sunday?

Also as UC have Verified my ID Online and I take it they are aware that I'm a full time carer. Will I be asked to attend the jobcentre or phone call ? Or will I just start getting payments?

You will need to report being a carer, if you didn't do that when you filled out the form. To do this log into your journal and report a change of circumstances. Then click caring for someone and report it through there. Your UC will then include the carers element. It's not automatically paid even when claiming carers allowance.

When a payment date falls on a weekend or a bank holiday you will receive payment on the Friday before.

You maybe asked to attend your first appointment at your local job centre. After that you will have no commitments and no further appointments will be needed.

Hi there was a question during the UC application about being a carer which I ticked yes it also asked me details of the person I care for. Sorry I'm new to all of this do I need to to change of circumstances? As I have tried but I don't think I can?

As you already answered the question then there's no need to report any further changes.
