Morning folks. It's misty here.but forecast to lift and then some sun. It's taking its time!!
Some strange looking rare breed sheep.have joined the ordinary white sheep here this year and they are keeping me amused! The white ones and their lambs are keeping to the big field but the newcomers and their lambs are naughty and have managed to break through the fence to the longer grass in front of us and are now back and forth regularly chomping away!
Last day of peace before the family descend this evening and their younger half siblings wander down from their grans van.
Take care all, thinking of you nan and hope it's good news for you on Monday. Xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"7 -
Hi everyone,
I'm in the shattered club today. Yesterday was Nate day so I was running round with him for most of the day. Steve was there in the morning but then we dropped him off at the station to go to London to meet some ex-workmates. One of them has been treated shockingly by their employer and doesn't seem to have much redress. It's especially awful because the company used to have a stellar reputation for really looking after their employees. Steve worked there for over thirty years and saw all the benefits and perks slowly whittled away and with them a lot of the loyalty the staff felt towards the company. The staff used to be a byword for helpfulness and courtesy toward customers, but no more.
The cleaner is here this morning and I need to go out to buy bread and eggs, I must check what else I need for tonight's meal (Gok Wan's garlic chicken, very yummy). Apart from that I think I will spend the day reading.
I hope all the poorlies are recovering, especially Nanny, Allie, Ruby and Ruby's OH.
Have a good day.8 -
Morning all, the van tap was fitted yesterday but now it needs testing so we'll go back over the van today and take some water and the battery. I did some dusting yesterday while Mr Fix It led on the floor muttering to himself. We took the cover half way off too and opened the windows to give it a good airing.
I'll take the cleaner over today and when we've finished I'll hoover, put the carpets back down and the cushions back. I'll take my gardening gloves and a hoe to clear away the weeds from around the 'van too. I'll have to do more sandwiches and a flask to take for lunch.
Have a good day all.
