Personal car insurance for bus drivers with recent claims at work

I'm trying to renew our car insurance but my spouse has had at multiple at fault minor accidents at work, driving a bus.  Given these were in his first year as a bus driver, and the accidents were all related to its length and in the bus, it seems unfair for our premium to double.

Unsure if I need to declare his incidents, I've contacted our insurer to ask if they need to know about these accidents, and their phone advisers didn't know the answer, so advised we must provide details to be on the safe side which means they'll treat them as car accidents.  I've rung around a variety of other insurers, who seemed equally unsure.

How have others in this situation gone about arranging insurance which is affordable?

I dont know the answer, but I have wondered if the rules of declaration also apply to Traffic Cops, who sometimes have to crash on purpose, to stop a vehicle, tactically.

I suppose this could relate to any driving professional.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

What does the question from the insurer that you are trying to answer actually say?  Exact wording.

You need to answer the questions asked honestly and completely. Given how most phrase the question then any accident involving a motor vehicle would need to be declared.

Now, if no claims were made then some are tempted to "forget" to mention them but this becomes a high risk strategy if you've ever mentioned it to any of your insurers.
