They never sent me engagement paperwork to sign and have carried out zero work for me. I was still waiting for the engagement paperwork and they just never bothered to send it.

They did nothing, they didn't even bother to send me paperwork to bring me on as a client. That was what I was chasing before I gave up and instructed a different firm.

Ironically, when I emailed to say I no longer wanted to engage them because they hadn’t sent me the paperwork or responded to my call or emails chasing it, they emailed back within minutes to say they were sorry they were losing my business.0
