    They never sent me engagement paperwork to sign and have carried out zero work for me. I was still waiting for the engagement paperwork and they just never bothered to send it.

    They did nothing, they didn't even bother to send me paperwork to bring me on as a client. That was what I was chasing before I gave up and instructed a different firm.

    In which case I take back my sarky comment, seems you were right to change.
    I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.

    Exactly. They did absolutely nothing. They were very quick to communicate when I asked for a quote etc but as soon as I said that I wanted to instruct them it was just crickets. 

    I sent two follow up emails and called once chasing the paperwork they said they’d send me to open a file, but received nothing. Ironically, when I emailed to say I no longer wanted to engage them because they hadn’t sent me the paperwork or responded to my call or emails chasing it, they emailed back within minutes to say they were sorry they were losing my business.
