So, I set up the advance account last year and was also accepted for a global money account, I carried out all the necessary requirements and received the initial £125 in to my global money account, all good
I then spent 5x on my global money card to allow me to qualify for the additional £80 payment due between 1st-8th May 2024
May 1st-8th has come and gone and I have still not received the £80 payment.
I have complained to HSBC and been advised that I should have received this payment by now and I should therefore wait a further week, being as impatient as I am I contacted HSBC 3 days later and was advised that I do not qualify for the £80 as I do not have an advance account, for clarity, I switched the advance account to another lender for a transfer fee so this account is now closed.
I have looked again through the offer and I have ticked all the boxes, I can see nowhere where it states that the advance account must be open at the time of receiving the additional £80 payment to the Global Money Account
Does anyone know if this is the case or if HSBC are pulling a fast one?

Challenge them to point out which of the terms and conditions allow them to withhold the £80 if the Advance account is switched awayand/oropen a formal complaint, requesting £80 for the bonus you should have had plus something to reflect the runaround effort.1

I just had a call to point out that it is within the terms and conditions of the account opening that both accounts must be identified when claiming the £125 & the £80, Something I must/may have overlooked
However, due to the initial response from the HSBC chat colleague being that I should have received the £80, HSBC are going to honour the payment and pay this in to my account as compensation
A good result but a warning to all to read the T's&C's carefully and cross the T's and dot the It's

Well that's nice of them but in future I would make sure you leave any accounts open until you have received ALL bonuses etc.
Not an issue for me as I tend to keep accounts I've put in efforts to get, got quite a collection of current & savings accounts in just a few years, makes it easier to apply for others as and when they come up.0
