My car is a Toyota Yaris about 15 years old. We have always had an interim service every 2 years and full every year because we only drive about 8K miles a year.
It needs a full service now - or should with have a major service?

See here for details
What is the difference between an interim, full and major service? . (fixter.co.uk)

I'd just do a major service with MOT every year

Different cars have different recommended intervals for different things

2009 Yaris's had two different engines and each would have different requirements

If you want to tell us which engine, auto/manual and how many miles it's done, the Yaris owners can probably help you work out what's due

Bought my car new in 2010, I do about 6k miles a year, I don't have a service every year now but did for the first 5 or 6 years. Fluids and filters and the MOT only £100. I do a major/full service about every 4 years. Tame garage who advise on bits of work but don't nag me for a service with my low mileage and regular fluids and filters.

Toyota only offer interim or full service so Full and major are probably the same.  Some extra work will be required every 4-6 years such as spark plug changes.

At 15 years old you may need to ask or consider coolant change, fuel filter, auxiliary drive belts etc

Other than an oil change a full service does not do much.
Depending on which make and model.
Peugeot say for my 5008 diesel.
Year 1 Oil & filter, adblue top up.
Year 2 Oil & filter, adblue top up, brake fluid and pollen filter.
Year 3 Oil & filter, adblue top up.
Year 4 Oil & filter, adblue top up, brake fluid and pollen filter, air filter and fuel filter.
    Then year 1-4 again.

To be honest at 15 years old, I personally would change the oil & filter every year as a minimum.
Change the air and pollen filters myself.
On Toyota's air and pollen filters are easy to change.
If you live near Croydon I know a specialist who charges £100 for a full Toyota service using genuine parts.
Oil & filter, pollen and air. Not sure if brake fluid is included.

You really need a major service and that should include coolant and brake fluid changes if they are both past the recommended intervals.

Sorry I should have said that I was thinking about going somewhere else, to fixter.
I once had a MOT at my local Toyota dealer and they were very slow - it took 90 minutes to drop off my car.
I find that hard to believe and it happened to me.

Booked online and got 08.00am slot.
At 10.30am they gave me my mot, missing the emmissions printout.
    What a joke.
Made complaint, got mot price back + £100 good will voucher.
First no mots are done until 08.30 am, ???.
    No printout and no coms.
