Hi ,
I am looking at getting an Ipad to replace an old Amazon fire tablet that is a little too slow and small now
I would like to mainly use it for Kindle and Readily apps and the odd bit of browsing
I dont really want to buy a new Ipad but would be happy spending up to £150 on a renewed Ipad off Amazon
Would anybody be able to advise if a Ipad 6 would be ok to run these apps please or if a better Ipad would be needed ?
Many thanks

iPad 6 is the oldest iPad to support the current iPadOS which means it's likely not to support the OS being released later this year. It will continue to receive security updates for a couple of years but the writing is clearly on the wall for what is already a 6 year old device.
Any particular reason to go for Apple iPad? As long as the battery has been replaced during the refurbishment it should be ok but I'd be a touch nervous of buying the budget model of such an old piece of tech unless there is a particular reason for wanting that OS1 -
Thanks for your reply
Have slowly been moving across to Apple so thought a basic Ipad for mostly reading would be ok .
I take on board your comments of it being it being an older model and support would likely in the near future
I just thought a 6 would be the cheapest Ipad version to support both apps

I'd go for an iPad Air 2022 64GB, prices have dropped now the latest model has been released and it'll receive updates for years0

I have a 32gb ipad, and I definitely recommend getting at least 64gb. I don’t have an awful lot on the machine, but I regularly have to take stuff off in order to run updates. If a 64gb iPad is too expensive, I see that the Fire Max 11 is on ebay for a bit over £100. Would that work for you?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
