Hi, can anyone help me.
Iv had a message this morning with regards to a uc claim review, I started work in October and have declared that and I am on a joint claim with my partner who doesn’t work because of the childcare allowing me to work.
We get universal credit, dla for my son, carers and my wage from job.
I am panicking and have a telephone call in the morning, why is this review happening?
Please if anyone can help my anxiety is all over the place.
Many thanks

Have you been asked to prove ID and supply 4 months of bank statements recently as that is standard to do before interviews for a routine check which vast numbers are currently getting? Otherwise not sure."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0

I had a message on my journal to say my claim is being reviewed and in 7 days they will update for more information, so I asked if someone could call me so they are calling me tomorrow in the morning but upto now I haven’t provided any documents.I am so worried about this as iv never had anything like this before, is this all normal procedure?0

Over two million UC claims are planned to be reviews over the next few years, so now something common.

Very normal, as you have requested more information they will call and explain the process, you will be asked for information following the call.
Then after you've provided what they want, you will have a more formal phone interview.

Thank you.So I’m not in trouble then? This is all normal procedure?0

Most likely normal.... you can't be in trouble if you've been honest with them. They are carrying out millions of reviews and most probably they'll ask some questions to check your circumstances are correct on the claim etc. Be aware there will be legal warnings which make it all sound like it is a police interrogation but it should be an easy call to deal with. Let us know how you get on.bissetbobs1 said:Thank you.So I’m not in trouble then?
