Luck is not needed with a request for default judgment.
Sadly it is, in my experience.  The CNBC are that bad.

I've seen requests for judgment ignored (and even refused for counterclaimants, with the Claimants handed a lifeline of an extension of time to defend).

Even @troublemaker22 who is a solicitor, was left banging his head against a brick wall trying to get a default judgment in a case where there were two Defendants and therefore, no ability to use the magic 'Request Judgment' button.

    The CNBC are appalling IMHO.
See how it plays out and I'll keep the forum informed. The interesting part is if UKPC don't file a defence by the deadline of 10th July.

    Any update on this please?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Yep. DCB Legal filed and served a defence on 5th July, seven days after an application for summary judgment had been filed at CNBC.

UKPC has filed and served a defence to which a Reply (14 pages, 5475 words excluding exhibits) will be filed and served today.

The insight into the inner workings of both UKPC and DCB Legal, and to discover whom are the directing minds behind their court actions, as opposed to previously dealing with juniors, has been worth the time and effort taken over the Reply.

Thank you for update. Look forward to hearing of further progress, as and when. 👍
