Job seeker allowance advice needed

Hi everyone,
I need an advice please
I was terminated from my job this year
The whole experience was very unfair and really affected my mental health. Depression, anxiety and no desire to continue living. The employer terminated me via email, no references, demanded I remove them from my job search profiles
I seeked help from nhs but there are long waiting lists
I had to go to my EU country few weeks ago to be treated for all of the mentioned in mental health institution.I am currently inpatient and can provide a note from the clinic
Now my job seeker adviser tells me that I have to tell them the dates and I will not be receiving the benefits
I dont think it is fair at all! I am paying taxes, I am like many others can't use nhs services because they are not available
I had to go to my homecountry to get help and I am paying a lot of money for everything
Do they really stop paying this £90 if I go abroad for medical treatment because nothing available in the UK?

Firstly, there are laws against unfair dismissal that apply if you have been in a job for two years or more, or if you suffered discrimination because of your race or disability. Your employer may have broken the law and should certainly provide confirmation that you worked there.

Secondly, JSA cannot be paid for periods when you are outside the UK.
  • Thank you
I have a new style jsa
I did read somewhere that it can be paid if it is because of a medical treatment

It was not full two years and I don't have any strength in me to deal with it now
By law they are not obliged to confirm that I have worked there,I did research this

They are being childish and never allowed me to defend myself and explain things

I have never received any benefits in the UK, this is first time and I am very keen to get back to work
But this reference situation is such an issue and is  really affecting my health

You can only claim New style JSA if you’re looking for work. As you’re out of the country and not currently looking for work then you won’t be able to claim it.

It would have been better to claim New style ESA instead.

This seems to confrim what Voyager2002 has said "JSA cannot be paid for periods when you are outside the UK".
The link seems to suggest that you should claim jobseekers from your own EU country?
